people in costumes dancing western Chinese folk dances at a park in Shanghai today.
i danced three hours with Daisy and others, doing chacha, Chinese waltz (so fast it makes your head spin), polka, two step and other dances. people meet here every Sunday for dancing, taichi, bachata, aerobics and other activities as early as 7:45am. it's not unusual to see a thousand people at that time of the morning.
at one point, daisy told me during a waltz that i had to lift my chest up and look beyond, not at the floor. for some reason it made me think of the "bend and snap" scene of Legally Blonde and i started shaking from laughing inside while dancing.
