practice dance cheer

bring lunch. send email. practice yoga.
tuck toes, push back, lift hips.
it's not all about the pretty asana.
architecture is a practice.
dancing is a practice.

When you come to work in China, they don't only ask you to work. They also ask you to sing and dance. Literally. At least once during the yearly holiday party. So the girls are dancing to jingle bells, the guys are doing a line dance and then together as our manager parts the group and lances into a merengue, we all couple up and dance merengue too. It's all to be done within five minutes for everyone's enjoyment, or laughter, depending on how it turns out. It's hard to write this without laughing. One of our colleague's task is only to cheer. Hopefully she won't stand out in a crowd of 250 people as the lone voice. haha.

I got a highly unusual visual from that description Arturo. Sort of a school talent show gone surreal. They say there is nothing like travel to gain perspective right?

Dear ff2
Yes, it is a bit surreal, even more so when the segment for the gents is a dance called the hatchet, a film noir doozy, but apparently popular with the young set. It's going to be fun, though. We're all laughing a lot preparing for it.

Yes, you gain perspective when you travel.
hugs
Arturo
