mused checkup perkier
I may have mused this and that about my practice and how it could be different, but I'm ready to go back to the shala. I should be grateful it's located close to the apartment and close to work. Whatever systemic happening was giving me headaches and increasing my blood pressure seems to have gone visit the neighbors, so I can resume regular yoga. For that, I need to resume getting up early and eating my meals earlier in the day. I ate big dinner meals two days in a row because I needed to fast in the morning for checkups. When you eat heavily at night it's more difficult to wake up early to go do yoga. It makes one groggy. You are perkier in the morning if the meals the night before where lighter.

yes, I never really eat anyting pass 7:30 and lately have been trying to have dinner by 5... it makes a huge difference in the mat the next morning.

That is very wise. Lately I have had to eat around 7:30 because it's the time I get in from work, but my meal is very light- a small salad and some stir-fryed veggies. The last two nights, because I was going to be fasting, I ate big veggie meals and I would not wake up the next morning.
