gum and yin
I'm experiencing some stage fright about going to the shala at the moment. My BP is normal today. Strategies for lowering BP include doing yoga, massage, meditation, good nutrition, chewing gum - and I do all those. I got together with my meditation group last night. Chewing gum helps lower blood pressure, I'm told, because the action helps get blood from your head. The shala is a little cold in some rooms at the moment, as is expected because of the season, but the practice room warms up from all of us practitioners. Maybe I'll go to led class on Friday and do yin yoga at home for the time being.
