After traveling for 10 days I'm experiencing readjustment to the yoga-work-life schedule. I hear the next quarter is going to be extremely busy at work. I plan to post the pictures of Kyoto once I'm done organizing them. Keeping track of the names of the sights is confusing because in one day I may have stepped into ten. There were memorable experiences such as stepping into spaces such as the above, which are called temples. You have to read the stories about them to understand why they are called that. They may have been a residence of an aristrocrat who donated the estate to the Buddhist sect and is now used as a place for meditation or is operated as a museum attraction. You see the relationship between a landscape that is intimate and controlled and the interior space of a residence.

great you managed to roll out you X-Long red manduka for practice too : )
Dear Grimmly
Haha! I didn't make the connection. It sure would be good to be able to practice in such as spot. If they allow sitting zazen, it would be nice it they allowed doing yoga as well in such spaces.
Cheers,
Arturo
