intent joys playing
Yesterday I practiced the firt half of Primary, today the second. My intent was to continue to the first poses of Intermediate. I had gotten up super early today. However, I received an email that there was a problem in my storage unit back in California. I called and found out a water pipe broke in the space and my belongings might be wet and need drying. So I arrived late to the shala while I dealt with that. Being an expat brings joys and opportunities such as being in a different country. It also brings challenges as to what to do with one's belongings. In my case they are books and artwork. I don't have an apartment of my own while living abroad, so bringing them with me is costly and impractical because they are not needed. I already gave away all of my appliances except for the dehydrator. That's life. You're playing the violin; your g string breaks and you keep playing kind of naked.
